The weather finally dipped down into the 70's so Alex, Emily, Judy, and I headed out to the zoo. Alex loves to see the animals and since it wasn't so hot, they were pretty active. We didn't get there until around 10. It never ceases to amaze me how long it takes to get two kids ready and out the door. When we finally do get out the door, I always manage to forget something. I guess as long as I never forget a kid I'll be fine.
Alex helped me make lasagna today. He had a blast. It was his job to use a pastry brush and get the sauce spread out and then add the cheese. Who would think a two year old would love making lasagna. He kept telling me how good it looked, then he wouldn't even eat it after we baked it. He said he didn't like it. It could have been all the noodles he ate while we were making it. He probably wasn't even hungry.
Emily is growing like a weed. She is getting a little chubby which is adorable. She rolled over twice last night on the couch. I sat her down to put on the Baby Born, and she rolled over onto her belly. I thought it was a fluke and put her on her back again. You can imagine my surprise when she did it again. Of course today when I was trying to show Nana how she can roll over she just laid there and cooed. She is so funny.
